Mr. Liu is a senior patent attorney and he founded TriLibra IP Law Firm in 2015. He has provided professional IP services to overseas clients for over 10 years. Mr. Liu started his career as a patent attorney at the well-known Chinese firm, China Sinda Intellectual Property Limited in 2008. At China Sinda, Mr. Liu dealt with thousands of patent applications from overseas clients including Google, Motorola, LG, NEC and Samsung in various technical fields including internet technology, communication technology, electronic technology and display technology.

In 2011, Mr. Liu joined another well-known firm in Beijing, Sanyou Intellectual Property Agency Ltd. At Sanyou, he was responsible for patent applications and prosecution in China for LG Display and LG Electronics. Mr. Liu was invited to attend workshops held by LG Display in June 2012 and September 2013, and LG Electronics in July 2014 to discuss patent application and prosecution issues in China. He was also responsible for handling patent applications from Intellectual Ventures and Boeing Company since 2012. Mr. Liu has extensive experience in dealing with multinational applicants and their patent portfolios in China.

In 2018, Mr. Liu and his firm were entrusted by Microsoft as a certified team for the drafting and prosecution of their patent applications in China.

Mr. Liu has notable experience in patent litigation and handles many patent invalidation and litigation cases including matters before the Supreme People’s Court of China. He has helped both overseas and domestic clients in claiming rights or enforcing related patents in China.
